Fushimi Times Square is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continuously improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards.
Conformance status
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. They define three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. Fushimi Times Square aims to be partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard.
Accessibility tools available on this site
This site ships an assistive overlay that lets visitors customize the page to their needs:
- Font size controls. Lets the visitor scale every text node from 90% to 200% in 10% steps.
- High contrast. Forces a black/yellow palette for visitors with low vision or photosensitivity.
- Dark mode. Inverts the site palette so light-sensitive users can browse comfortably.
- Monochrome. Strips color from the page for visitors with severe color blindness.
- Underline links. Adds a thick underline to every anchor so links are easy to spot.
- Highlight headings. Wraps every heading in a yellow band, helping screen-reader users skim structure.
- Dyslexia-friendly font. Switches body copy to OpenDyslexic to ease reading fatigue.
- Letter spacing. Widens letter spacing by 0.08em for visitors with reading difficulties.
- Line spacing. Increases line-height to 1.8 for better visual rhythm.
- Pause animations. Stops marquees, GIF loops, and CSS transitions for visitors with motion sensitivity.
- Large cursor. Doubles the cursor size and adds a yellow ring so it stays trackable.
- Reading guide. Adds a horizontal ruler that follows the mouse, letting users focus on one line at a time.

Compatibility
This site is designed to be compatible with the following assistive technologies: latest versions of major screen readers (NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver, TalkBack) on the latest two versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge.
Limitations
Despite our best efforts, some content may not yet be fully accessible. Known limitations: third-party content (embedded reservation widgets, social-media embeds, online-ordering iframes) may not meet accessibility standards. We are working with our vendors to improve these areas.
